30th Anniversary of the Koleso Theatre

On March 2, 1988, an order was signed to create the first professional drama theater in Togliatti. Then it was called experimental, as it became the first contract theater in the country. In addition, the institution was granted greater independence in financial and economic activities, this experience was later adopted by many state theaters of the country.

Gleb Drozdov, People's Artist of the RSFSR, was entrusted with assembling the collective of the Koleso Theatre and taking over its managment. Together with theatre professionals, he came to Togliatti to improve the cultural life of the industrial city. For 30 yearsmore than 180 performances have been staged at the theater. Today in the theatre team there are both experienced stage masters and talented young people.

The musical perfomance "The Enamored City", which will be the first show of the jubilee season, will take the audience to the past of Togliatti. In the center of events - young lovers who are building their lives in a dynamically developing industrial city.
